These are photos from the last couple of weeks, even
though I didn't have my laptop I still took photos...
We purchased a package of beef from a farmer that my husband knows from when he worked a John Deere. It's black angus and so far what we have eaten is quite good and it was very reasonably priced. So we are now on the lookout for a small freezer so that we can buy another package. We're hoping to slowly build up a freezer supply of beef, chicken and pork. We gave a good stash of chicken. We buy in quantity when it goes on sale but as prices keep rising it will be more difficult.
Baked pork chops with cheesy, tomato rotini pasta...
Leftover rotini and egg noodle pasta with green pepper, onions, garlic and marinara, tossed salad and seasoned Italian bread. Has anyone else noticed that all the fresh vegetables kind of taste the same? There's no real distinct flavors...
A big chef's salad with ham and homemade potato bread...
Chicken and noodle casserole with peas and red pepper...
I used a store bought pie crust to make homemade cherry "pop tarts". Jessica, who has the YouTube channel Three Rivers Homestead makes them with her homemade pie crust and homemade pie fillings. Mine was totally store bought, but we liked them, they were a nice treat on a cold day. They don't look the greatest but they were quite tasty...
Homemade chicken vegetable soup...
Potato bread... I really, really, really like this recipe!
Homemade pizza with barbeque sauce, chicken, red and green peppers and onion. I put grated sharp cheddar cheese on it before I put it in the oven...
Leftovers for lunch. I made the salad croutons out of stale bread... yum!
And last night we had nachos with beef, refried beans, peppers, corn and cheese...
What's happening in your kitchen? Are you itching to have fresh grown veggies like I am?
Stay safe and well and
Thanks for dropping by...
